STANTON~ART

VISION

Rooted in my studies of Tibetan woodcut art I pursue abstract and expressive qualities of line which varies from ancient to contemporary in appearance. The collection here focuses on woodcut carving and printmaking along with pinstripe paintings on wood and acrylic panels. I find inspiration in nature and glyphic iconography from cultures around the world. I create imagery with a nod to place and culture  which I then reinterpret to express something of the essence of the subject.
